She was a rose
But she too had her thorns
Sharp and thick
Leaving a prick
To anyone too close
Making them sick
As the blood seeped out of their skin
Tricking them to love her
A mere sin
He was the sun
But he too had his scorch
Blinding his lovers
Through the light within
Fire fueled his broken heart
Many were trying to reignite his spark
All unfortunately missing the mark
Tearing love apart
She was a rose
He was the sun
