The deafening roar
of the crowd fills my ears
as I play the last game of the season?
Rolla vs. Rolla.
Bre drives towards the lane,
and I slide out to the corner.
“Ball!” I shout.
Bre passes back,
and I see separation between Emma and me.
“Shoot!” the crowd yells.
I square up release,
and watch the ball
soar through the air
and fall into the white net?
swish.
The audience cheers,
and I run back
to the other end of the court
with a smile.
