Natural Disaster
i knew what i was doing
i knew where
i was
my roots
planted stong in the ground
my branches
streching towards the sun
closer and closer
till my leaves
started to burn
the fire over taking me
turning me to
ash and dust
the rain guiding mud
through my roots
and washing the ground
so it no longer held me close
yet
i knew what i was doing
i knew what i had done
but that's just what happens
when you get too close
to the sun
