This morning I heard my alarm go off,
The noise jolted me awake.
The continuous noises; repeating themselves over and over again. 
I pressed the button to silence it.
I closed my eyes-
And waited for the second alarm to go off. 

The continuous noises; repeating themselves over and over again.
The noise is like a sharp, harsh ringing causing a wave of awareness-
To come over you.
The noise is telling you, “you need to wake up”
“You have to wake up now” 
I pressed the button to silence it.
The ringing stopped-
For at least until tomorrow morning.
