Calmness is a white lily, in the middle of nowhere, letting its odor inside my nose,
Calmness is the sweetness of honey slowly spreading upon my tongue,
Calmness is resting my head upon the aging, winter sun,
Calmness is a sea, lost in the rhythmic percussion of waves on sand,
Calmness is a distant, faded chirping of a family of birds.

The author's comments:

I needed to appeal calmness through the five senses but I decided for them to be replaced as metaphors. If you are curious it goes in the form: smell, taste, feels, looks, sounds.
