Woolen Love
How soft
In touch
That was his feel
Like woolen cloth
His desperate
Kneel
To soothe
My woes
A gentle pat
In spite
Tears fell
From where I sat
Embracing me
His arms
Had wrapped
But woolen cloth
Felt rough
I snapped
Where was
This cushion
Long before
When my love
Was bitter
Love, a chore
Yet seemed
To melt away
With clutch
To forgive love's past
Was just
Too much

I was inspired by all the relationships I have had or have heard about that have been both hell and heaven; soft and rough.
