A Mammoth Legend

I begin my hunt
to find a beast
of significant size and strength.
As old as time itself.
A beast known for its fur,
its long spear like tusks,
and its elongated, noodle like trunk.
As old as time itself.
A beast hunted by fellow humans,
used for huts, clothes, and weapons.
I hunt in a group.
As old as time itself.
We discover the beast of legends,
now on display,
the plaque reads
As old as time itself.
