you show no emotion
maybe it’s because you’ve had traumatic past
but i do not ask
for i know how it feels to bring back memories
so painful that it is a knife stabbing your heart
or maybe it’s simply because
you have no emotion at all
i sometimes wish you’d show some emotion
but showing none is better than showing some
maybe i’m afraid you don’t care
maybe i’m afraid
that if you show some i’d become damaged
but it hurts
as if someone has taken your heart
and thrown it away
or maybe i’m afraid that
you have no emotion at all
