Her eyes were dark caves with gold hidden in the crevices
They were perfect for deceiving people from her hidden expression of bliss and pain

Her face the shape of the sun
Tears shined on her effrontery like the moon
The floor was covered with dead flowers
Her room filled with darkness
Which she glowed in with a silver aura

She blew up her ears with music that spoke the words which gagged her
Words that made noir rivers run down her face and form dark oceans at her feet

She wore popular and colorful clothing
But her soul wears all ripped attire and black combat boots
Dark eyeliner and lipstick

Of course, she wasn't like all the imbeciles at her school
She sat in the back of her class where people threw sharp glares and teachers flashed fake smiles at her
In the hallways, she was stepped on and pushed as if she were a ghost
She wishes she were a ghost

Everyone was there to tell her she was worldly
The phrases they thought are compliments kept her up at night
But no one told her she was beautiful
They only knew the artificial ways of the universe
But she was real
unquestionably real

Lilli Simone- All I can say is AWESOME! Your words depict a very candid view of how a unique person keeps it real!
