Being a Teenager
You can tell me I’m wrong
You can tell me it’s just “being a teenager”
But I know it’s not
It’s not “just being a teenager”
It’s realizing what the real world is like
It’s being fed up with everything going on
It’s knowing that the world is going to be yours one day
But you don’t want it to be anymore
It’s seeing the news and hearing the cries of help
From everyone.
It’s the lies the politicians tell
It’s the way the older generations have ruined the world
It’s the way that every teenager
Want their voice to be heard
And it never is.
You can tell me I’m wrong
You can tell me it’s “just being a teenager”
But I know it’s not
Because I’ve seen the world
I’m ready to make it better
So don’t silence my voice
Let me fight.
