My life is apparently priceless
but when I have a dark cloud overhead,
My life suddenly becomes worth 27 pounds... per session.

Death has no cost.
I'm starting to believe that now,
When life costs 27 pounds.

When a black dog is pinning me down,
A brand new leash costs 27 pounds.
All because he has broken the others.

Death has no cost.
I'm starting to believe that now,
When life costs 27 pounds.

When the prized flower is withering in front of my broken eyes,
The bamboo sticks that strengthen it costs 27 pounds.
This is the only way to stop the last petal falling.

Death has no cost.
I'm starting to believe that now,
When life costs 27 pounds.

I'm trying to pick up the shattared glass
but gloves cost 27 pounds,
Both of which stops the glass piercing.

Death has no cost.
I'm starting to believe that now,
When life costs... 27 pounds.

This piece was written to help spread awareness of mental health and I decided to write it after watching a Neil Hilborn poem called 'Joey' and found out how expensive therapy sessions cost.
