Here I am, locked in a cage
Waiting for him to appear
And go on a rampage
The man that I love is no longer for me
Only bruises of blue are left in his wake
My imagination makes me dream of being free
Here I am, locked in a cage
I scream and I plead for him to come back
It only leaves me in a deeper level of his rage
The man that I love in no longer for me
He made me go silent, for i had been broken
If you can’t be free, be a mystery
Here I am, locked in a cage
I look into a mirror and see nothing but death
I look as if I was touched by the plague
The man that I love is no longer for me
He perceived my death with no remorse
His eyes cold and undeniably beastly
Here I am, locked in a cage
The man that I love is no longer for me
Soon he would fall and I will stand on his stage

My friend Draven inspired me to write this piece even though I was reluctant. I hope people understand the story within this piece and realize how harmful it could be to be involved within an abusive relationship.
