Up, Up, and Away
I hold the bright balloons tight,
so they do not escape.
Tying them to my boring beige camping chair,
I smile.
The colors pop.
They make a beautiful scene.
I take a seat.
My mind is at peace.
Up,
Up,
and Away.

I wrote this poem during our class quick write. It was inspired by seeing the picture of a man who flew over South Africa in a camping chair that he tied helium balloons to.
