Rolling the dough in
The sugar, listening to
The Christmas music from the
Surround sound speakers
Chilly air blowing through
The open windows with
Mom in the living room
Vacuuming the dust
Sunny days and
Dark, warm nights
Gathered around the
Oak wood fireplace
Listening to birds
Chirping in the
Heat consuming blanket
Lying on my lap
I sit there
Wondering what will
Happen when
She’s not there...
