Bubblegum Pink

On the outside I am bubblegum pink ---
outgoing and bold
lively and friendly
exuberant and cheerful.
But on the inside, I am elephant gray
shy and reserved
quiet as a mouse
apprehensive.
As I grow up,
something is telling me
to switch to be
the bubblegum pink.
