Marsha P. Johnson
was a woman of the best kind
she used to tell everyone,
"P. stands for pay it no mind."
She was transgender
and a black activist
the oppressed defender.
She will be forever missed.
She sparked a revolution
with a brick in hand, and fire in her heart,
claiming rights promised in the constitution.
Her actions were the start
of those with variations of sexuality
finding our place.
For we deserve equality
along with the rest of the human race.
She was repaid
in icy cold water. Pushed off a bridge.
After all the sacrifices made
she had so much life to live.
