Peering out behind his pad of notes,
he sits ever so slump in his recliner chair.
Eyes, sharp and captivating,
leaving you behind with a chill of trust and loyalty.
You close your eyes to float off into an abyss.
His words make every care you once had flea in an instant,
Leaving your body limp and in a state of serenity.
He makes it seem as if his purpose of being is tied to you.
He dedicates his life to you in that instant.
Making all dark thoughts subside,
providing light for you when none is available.
Man’s best friend
