"Never forget what you are, the rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you." - Tyrion Lannister, Game of Thrones

You called me a witch
You weren’t used to a girl you couldn’t burn
You must’ve thought it to be some sort of magic
I was untouchable
Unfazed by you completely

You thought I’d be an easy catch
You’d reel me in and I’d be yours to hold
Until you’d inevitably decide I was too much
But you never got to hold me
If you even tried I would disappear in your arms
Disappear at will as far from you as possible
Existing only in your thoughts but never seen by you again

You could never burn me
No matter how hard you tried
I was too powerful for you
I could shatter you easily
Turn you into a hideous toad
An existence more foul than your current state
But the punishment of knowing you could never have me was enough

You must’ve been hurt before
Made to believe any girl who doesn’t fall for you was some sort of evil old hag
Or maybe I was the first to break your heart
To burn you like you wish you could burn me

This is inspired by a boy calling me a witch after I rejected him and me taking it as a compliment.
