Because he Was My Everything
Because he Was my everything.
He was my North, my south, my East and West.
WH Auden
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was my North, my South, my East and West.
He was my rights, and my wrongs,
And everything in between.
To me, he made the world go round,
He made the stars and the moon shine,
He made the birds sing and the bees buzz
To me, his imperfections,
Somehow made him more perfect.
He was more than enough reasons to wake up in the morning,
And go to bed with a smile on my face.
He was my reason to keep going,
To keep loving.
He loved me,
When I didn't even know how to love myself.
He loved me,
Even when he hated me.
He loved me,
Because I am me.
And I couldn’t do the same,
Until I realized,
there wasn't a reason for the stars to shine,
And no reason for the birds to sing.
There was no reason to wake up,
Or sleep with a smile.
Until I realized that
He was gone, and had been taken for granted.
I couldn’t do the same,
Until I realized,
That
He was my North, my south, my East and West.

this peice was inspired by a heartbreak that had went through, as I stared writing this, I just kept writing because it felt right, and safe for me to put my thoughts down like this.
