If there’s one thing I’ve learned while being in love this long,
It’s that someone’s happiness must always be sacrificed for the other’s happiness.
And I am glad that you are happy, but what about me?
They take you away, and I am lonely.
But you are happy.
So what am I to do?
It’s too late, and I’m not going to be here forever.
None of us will, really; but me less than others.
Nothing is enough for me;
Yes, I will admit that I am greedy.
But I shouldn’t have to compromise when it comes to you and me.
Their full dedication to distance us is crushing and exhausting
And I am tired.
I am tired.
I’m not going to be here forever.
And while I have had the opportunity to love and learn and laugh and live,
Nothing is enough for me.
What about my happiness?
What about me?
