My Bed
I sit on my bed
and I think
Is there such
a thing called
permanent happiness?
I sit on my bed
and I realize
How much I miss him,
The man who has
Been on my side
Since I came into the world.
I sit on my bed
and I wonder
Will I ever satisfy
the woman who
gave birth to me?
I sit on my bed
and I hope
I am the sister
that my siblings
Always dreamed of having
I sit on my bed
and I remember
All the happiness
and laughter
as a child.
I sit on my bed
and I miss it.
All of it.
But most of all,
I miss myself.
