I don’t just walk through the life-size streetcar, I start
strolling through the past, wondering what life was like.
The sights, sounds, and scents exude. Also,

the ringing of the bell near the general store, and
the scent wafting from the Haymarket candy shop
entices me to find what delicious treats ensue.

I turn the corner, walk west, past the Watson home,
to see the pillars and smell the ageing wood blocks.
It feels like ages ago, but it’s quite recent.

Echos of the trinkets around the streets make for
some surprises. As you stand solitaire on these
cobblestone roads, it takes you back one hundred years.
