Immense dunes decorated with millions of miniscule grains of sand, stretch on eternally.
The weary traveller, unaware of his whereabouts, clambered up a hill, praying something would be visible.
But nothing was visible. The desert: emptier than an abandoned village.
This man searched, but not even he knew what for.
Peering over the cliff this lost soul lost his footing, and hurled towards the ground.

He tumbled through time towards the great unknown.
He plummeted towards death. This man had no fear.
As the dunes below grew larger, time ceased, and then...
Nothing.
This lost soul lost his life.

Darkness plagued the land and there was nothing.
Out of the nothingness a bold voice boomed, asking the man,
“Have you found joy on Earth?”
Fantastic images of family flooded his vision. Flames illuminated the darkness.
This lost soul lost his family to a great fire.

Again, the excellent voice echoed throughout the land.
“Has your life brought joy to others?”
Gluttony, greed, and grouchiness consumed his life.
He had wronged the righteous, harmed the humble. This man was a tax collector.
This man had taken from all, but in return he lost his soul.

Wrapped in cloth, time stood still.
An eternity of darkness.
