She was gone

The words of those around me, burn into my mind
Pushing me down into the endless abyss of sorrow
She was gone, they said
She won't be back, they said
i refused to listen
Refused to listen to the words that hosted a darkness of poverty
My thoughts seemed to yell at me, tell me to cry, tell me to scream
i would only stare at her cold body, laying there like a bed of snow
Untouched by all humans
She was gone, but she was still beautiful
i couldn’t forget her warm embrace around me
i couldn’t forget her laughs and smiles, that dug into my skin
i couldn’t forget how much i loved her
But it was already here
Spreading its wings into a full bloom
Looming over the body, as the time ticks
A second passes
And another one
i stare at her, as the obsidian droplets from my eyes branded her and the ones around me with sadness
i thought death was only a lie
But it will be back
Back to take your family
Back to take your friends
There's nothing you can but accept its cool feathers around you
i wanted nothing except for it to embrace me
Let me join her in a second life
But it wouldn't, and i couldn’t do anything about it
I couldn’t do anything but think that
She was gone
