Ben’s elation crescendos as he charges Willy on:
“The jungle’s over brother.
You’re there.
You came through life as gold!
Like me, like dad.
Herein is your legacy…your reward!
You’re home William!”

Miss Francis’ laughter alternates with
Her enchanting intonations:
“This is why I chose you Willy!
You are gold!
Always were!”

As the headlamps flash by,
Willy looks to Biff in the rear-
“The trial’s over, son. You’re a hero.
You’ll be great like your father.
You see the thousands at the funeral and
Listen to their chants of Loman glory!
You hear ‘em, you and Hap.”

“Linda!
The seeds’ll grow now.
Our boys’ll be Adonises again!”
As Miss Francis’ laughter lurks from behind,
Willy defiantly chants his anthem
With a smile of nostalgia:
“I’ll make it up to you, Linda
I’ll make it up…”
