Running Home
I hear the stars calling my name
Saying “return home to us”,
So every night I run to them,
The only sounds are my feet slapping against the wet pavement
And my heartbeat echoing against gutters,
But every night ends with morning,
The sun ruins the constellations design,
So every morning I go back and dream
Of the day when I will reach the stars.
