woven since the birth of time
Three Sisters’ chants of runic rhyme
The spindle’s spokes of fate they spin
To give life to every thread within

birthed of Clotho’s able palms
Lachesis stretches dreams and hopes
Atropos snips gossamer thin
and let run long the thickest ropes

one’s lifespan my length does command
fading as time
consumes the
strands

braids of red
hot vibrant life
when faced with grief and loss and strife
my silky fibres slink and bend
You never know when I shall-
