The bottle

What I found upon the beach that day
Was something I wish no one would ever have to say
It was a plee from a lonely girl
Asking the receiver for some friends
She was stuck in a world of rumors and lies
But what she didn't realize
Was that on the other end
Was someone too longing for friends
A promise was made
That same very day
By the receiver
That loneliness will never get this way
Because he too was a believer
