Lost in Darkness
Eyes that once shone like the sun, now shrouded by darkness
Lips once always smiling, forever pulled into a frown
Hands that once touched delicate flowers are soaked with blood
Her eyes used to see everything good and happy, but as time went
She saw the ugly colors of truth
She now sees that the people she thought loved her hold nothing but useless hatred towards her
Was it she wasn't pretty enough? Not good enough? Was she ill behaved?
No
It is because in the eyes of those she thought cared fr her she is not perfect enough
She tried, but every time she was close they raised their standards of perfect
And she fell back into the darkness caused by them
Her heart forever scarred because of how much she has been hurt
Her face stained with tears as shejust wants it all to end
The pain... all the pain that makes her feel unwanted
The pain of the cuel words said to her
Pain of of being hated by those she thought cared
The pain of feeling as if she she never really belonged in her family,
In society,
In life

Every Time I even think of you, all those bad memories just fade away, 'cause your smile's enough, you're enough...
