I'm sorry I'm not the me you want me to be.
I'm sorry that my room's a mess,
That my face isn't clean,
That I act wild sometimes,
That I'm too quiet others,
I'm sorry I'm not as perfect as you want me to be.
I'm sorry that you don't like my pen name,
That I don't try hard enough,
That I take on more than I can handle,
That you aren't more involved,
I'm sorry that I fail even when I'm trying to fly.
I'm sorry that you can't see
The character that's inside me.
Truly, I'm sorry.
When will you forgive me?
