This cold, damp world
cannot keep us apart
You lay, with a barrier of betrayal
between us
Impenetrable to
a normal man
But I have become more
I have forgiven myself
for what I’ve done
Ready to be with you
once again
I will use love and determination
as my tools
And with great patience, will
chip away at this blockade
Until I can hold you again
And we can just kiss,
like real people do
