Anxiety
Anxiety, like trying to read the lips of every person in a crowded restaurant.
“Will mommy make me eat my broccoli?”
Anxiety.
“What if mom finds out?”
Anxiety.
“You’re disappointing mom.”
As I age, so does my anxiety.
Anxiety.
Found in anything,
anywhere,
all day,
everyday.
Anxiety, waking up in the morning is like swimming in an ocean without a shore.
Anxiety.
“Mommy what if I lose my favorite crayon today?”
Anxiety.
“Today everyone thinks you’re ugly.”
Anxiety.
“No one at school will know if you’re missing or not.”
Anxiety.
Anxiety, going to bed is like knowing the world is ending, but with no one to tell.
Anxiety.
“But mommy it's too early for bed!”
Anxiety.
“If you don't sleep, you'll be rude, and no one will want to talk to you.”
Anxiety.
“If you don’t sleep the feelings will come back.”
Anxiety, like walking in a dark hall without a trace of light.
As I age, so does my anxiety.
