Burning up, climbing higher and higher
Searching and searching
Warming the minds around it
Yet dangerous to the touch
In fear of being alone,
It latches onto whatever is near
Sometimes spreading love and security,
Most times spreading pain
But in this game of life or death
It always chooses life,
In hopes of a day to come
When it can only spread love,
Sadly love will only hurt it
Causing it to whittle down
To something small and fragile,
That will soon be blown out
