The Captive
The water is calling me
I am struggling with the traps
The world's held me captive
And the reality slaps
No soul’s now left
Just metal, heavy metal
All robots, living the aimless aim
To dream, lose and settle.
Each a precipitate
To the elixir of life
And the bubbles who’d float
Subjected to knife…
None dare to float
Fearing the death afar
And thus is left unfelt
That cool, blissful shower
The earthly ones
Too scared to rise
Hold back him
Who tries the thrice...
People, the ultimate judges
Their chatters foremost
Those meanest words
Which matter the most
The rat race triumphs
The passions abjured
All fail to live
Survival’s conserved…
I fail to understand
This eclectic place
There's so much of space
Yet no solace
The deep, dark seas call me
Where nothing's a truth or lie
Where I needn't breathe or swim
And where I need not try...

Today, everyone is struggling hard to earn a living. Though ironically, no one is living, just surviving. Because of saturation in every field, in every career, that latent talent fails to attain light or attention. Thus because everyone is busy getting that job, assurance, etc., no one feels satisfied in what he's doing as he isn't doing what he loves and can excel in.
