“Hi,” we say to each other. “How are you?”
“I’m good, thanks.” we respond automatically. Usually without thinking nor hesitation. “How are you?”
“I’m good, thanks.”
“Are you okay?” we might inquire absently of an unusually-tired looking peer.
“I’m fine.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too.” Another automatic response.
