Poetry is to my soul
Like wings are to the bird
It liberates me giving me freedom within which to fly
Poetry is to my soul
Like food given to a hungry man
It sustains me and fulfils me from within
Poetry is to my soul
Like coffee in the morning
It energises me and makes me go on
Poetry is to my soul
Like sleep is to the human
It gives me a reason to live and carry on
Poetry is to me the only way to channel my emotions and thoughts
To let them out in a manner which befits me the best.
