Delphic
She was a mystery,
An enigma.
Hidden under veils of shadows,
Under a cloak of invisibility .
A cloak so strong,
It hid her from them all.
They saw her face,
So strong,
Confidence emanating from withal.
An arrogance so deep,
Her features would keep.
They thought her cruel and mean,
It was all that could be seen.
She was cold as ice,
Mixed with tons of spice,
A hidden scared lonely girl,
Putting up a strong front.
All she needed was love and care,
Herself she could never share.
Never judge a book by its cover they say,
Yet with her not another chance did they take.
She was left all alone,
To bury all that had been within.
Till all that remained were the ashes of her past,
Fuming the fire which now forever would last.
