The Ocean

By , New York, NY

The ocean has waves of mysteries
As the waves crash down onto the shore
Then forcefully falls back into the ocean
Swallowing anything misplaced
Then sometimes spitting it back out
And between waves and waves
These misplaced items are changed
Like sharp broken glass turning into beautiful, smooth sea glass
Or like the way people twist their words
Or the way people lie to your face
Changing the truth to something you want to hear
And breaking the truth
The way the ocean breaks sea shells
And the way it tears down rocks
The way people can tear you down
With their words
And with their lies
