When I go to sleep at night
I like my skin sunburned
my muscles sore
and my mind full
I like my shoes muddy
my journal packed
and my books read
I like my eyes heavy
My fireflies caught
and my clothes torn
I like my bed a mat
my sheets warm air
And my roof stars
I like my summer nights
