Last Resort
Dear Father, I beg of you
Please make me happy again.
I am so tired
Yet I stay restless
I mimic the appearance of the Joker
So no one can see past my paint
My sadness turns into anger
Then emotions control my actions
Why Father did you give me a brain?
For when I'm alone
I begin to envision what's to come
I become my own worst enemy
Destroying myself slowly
The darkness dawns in the brain
Then finds its destination at the heart
Out in the world I smile
Yet, my eyes show differently
Out in the world I laugh
But on the inside I'm crying
I may seem happy but
I'm really hoping that soon...
The pain will come to an end
Dear Father, I beg of you
Please make me happy again.
