Grandpa
Disconsolate, dejected
Is the only way to describe how I feel
After my dad died
I relied on you to be my father figure
Reminder, reference
Of when you were alive
Wailing, whimpering
As bodies greet the open casket
Sullen, somber
As I walk through the bulky black bodies
Hoarse, hazy
My sister's voice reminisces about you
Cold, claws
I clutched your hands tightly
Purple, blue
The color of your lips as I kiss your face
Eruption, escaping
My teardrops like a volcano erupted
Severed, smashed
My heart and soul shattered
Erased, extinct
From my world and life
