The accelerator instead of the brake
The great beast cocked his head
In the face of his own demise
And I became his mirror
Frozen in unawareness
Me, facing the stretch of country to the west
Him, facing the leather interior to the east
Two bodies suspended, parallel
Through the broken windshield
