There were years between us
People doubted
That Thursday in November
We got closer
As friends
I realized
I tried to push away
But our bond was still there
March flew by
We learned more about ourselves
He was going to ask me
Rules were in place
We're polar opposites
Quiet to loud
Rule follower to rebellion
Music was our common interest
Metal loud releasing our anger
Releasing anger for different reasons
Family issues to not be accepted
Freeing ourselves in this uptight fake town
The town of "respect"
Destroyed more lives than helps
They're leaving I'm here
I've left a mark on their life
They've changed me for the better
Life lessons have taught me
To be myself
We're all
One in a Million
