Cherry Pie
Golden brown,
cherry red lips,
smelled like comfort,
felt like home…
All that you desired.
All that EVERYONE desired.
You saw her as a whole.
Yet, she was divided
amongst others.
The fleety type,
who would never
truly be yours
as you could never
reach her in time.
Even if you managed
to get her whole,
her appeal
would fade away.
Or, if you felt
you’d had enough,
she kept you
coming back for more,
wanting to explode
and to never see her again.
Until the next day,
when, once again,
you’d see her on display.
