Tucked Away

I am nothing

But a jean jacket

And dirt tucked away in fingernails

Tripping over snowy shoes

In the middle of

One million bodies

Plus me

Rays from the screen

Flicker onto my

Uneven face

Revealing the moisture

And heavy eyelashes

That were hidden behind

A laughing mask

I am more

Of a swish instead of a step

Frozen feet patter down the hallway

Yet they never make a sound

One million bodies

Plus me

Sometimes it's hard to not

Attempt subtracting myself

I am nothing

In the mists of

Something bigger
