Youth
The child liked how the bubbles sprouted from his wand
They floated
A rainbow glared from within them
He was transfixed
Laughs that sounded of bouncy balls
Escaped from his lips
As he chased them throughout the yard
Running after them but never able to touch one
They popped every time his finger was centimeters away
It didn’t bother him though
He just created more
While walking among the prickly grass
His bare feet became rough
While jumping up to pop a bubble
His legs became longer
And when looking into his last bubble
It reflected off of his soft face
Turning it into odd shapes
Carving his lips into a new smile
