Hello again
it has been a pleasant surprise, witnessing
you appear on my aching doorstep
after all this
time
Now, I understand you had a
past sealed with a love's kiss
you
needed to keep hidden away, and
that is why you left
the vines coiled around your heart, your
lungs, your throat
so I understand that in order to breathe you had
to escape, rip apart the seams
no matter what
trail of crimson should you leave behind
you should know
I have not cleaned the cuts from underneath
my nails
they throb
with longing
