It Hurts To Love
When I say it hurts
to love you
I don’t mean
the kind
of pain
that brings tears.
I mean
the ache in my chest
when you smile at me,
the joy that explodes my heart
when you tell me
you love me.
It hurts
to love you
but only in the best way.

This poem is about a relationship I'm in, and I hope others can relate to this feeling.
