The World With No Song

March 8, 2017

Our tongues are cut
We cannot sing
Our drive to discover
Siphoned the beauty
We once knew but didn't understand

We fail to create
Left to destroy
A world once so pure
Clouded by smog
Steels towers graves of forests once so great

A wish to reclaim
The world taken away
Where leaves and trees grow freely
And wander nature peacefully
In a world where even common nightingale sing.
