Did You Ever Think?
The nights you belittled her,
The days you screamed at her,
The days you made her feel like less of a woman,
The nights she spent crying alone.
The nights she contemplated suicide, and you never really cared.
The nights you sat up texting other women but wouldn't talk to your wife.
Did you ever stop and think?
Did you ever think how much she hurt?
Did you ever think about the things you said?
Or the way she felt?
Did you ever think about anyone other than yourself?
The tears she cried at night over you.
The nights she felt trapped and stuck.
The nights she was restless from anxiety,
Did you ever really care?
Did you ever truly love her?
Did you ever truly care?
